Restaurant Gift Card
The Restaurant Gift Card is the perfect gift for any occasion. You can select your value, personalise your message and even send a video message, all in a matter of minutes. Once purchased, the card will take up-to 24 hours to activate.
The Restaurant Gift Card is available to use at Strangers’ Restaurant, The Public Café and in store at the NSW Parliament Gift Shop. The money is stored on the card and is used in the same way as a debit card, where you simply tap or swipe your card when making a payment.
The Digital Card or Physical Card must be presented at the time of payment.
The Restaurant Gift Card can be used to pay for the following packages in the Strangers’ Restaurant.
- Traditional High Tea valued at $65 per person
- Sparkling High Tea valued at $75 per person
- Rose Sparkling High Tea value at $80 per person
- Three Course Lunch valued at $90 per person
- With Matching Wines valued at $126 per person
- Monday Lunch Special valued at $60 per person
- Al La Carte, where meals are priced individually
Instructions
The Restaurant Gift Card is issued by a third-party provider called The Card Network which is an official partner of The Restaurant and Catering Association.
The Digital Gift Card can only be used with a Smart phone that features Apple & Android Pay. The recipient must have a Smart phone for this option.
To purchase a Gift Card, please click on the Buy Now button below (or click here), this will redirect you to The Restaurant Gift Card website.
From here you have the option to Select your card type, (either a digital card or a physical card), then select ‘How much would you like to add?’. This is the total value amount added to the card.
- Digital Card Value Options:
- $5, $30, $50, $100, $150, $200, $250, $300, $400, $500
- Physical Card Value Options:
- $50, $100, $200
Once the value amount is selected, proceed to enter the recipients details.
- For digital cards, the recipient’s name, email and Australia mobile number is required.
- For physical cards, the recipient’s name, email, Australian mobile number and address is required, a small postage fee applies.
You can add a personal message to the Gift Card.
For Digital Cards you have the option of Text, Recorded Video or Uploaded Video.

For Digital Gift Cards the card is emailed or sent via a SMS. A SMS with a link is sent to the receiver to activate the card. They simply need to follow the prompts, add the card to their mobile wallet and tap & pay in-store with Apple & Android Pay.
For Physical Gift Cards the gift card will be delivered to your nominated recipient which must be an Australian postal address. They simply need to swipe the card at payment > select ‘SAVINGS’ on the terminal and enter the PIN located on the back of the card.
If the transaction amount exceeds the card’s balance, you will need to pay for the remaining amount on a different card or cash. Any remaining value cannot be redeemed or withdrawn as cash.
The cards are ready to use as soon as they are activated.
Please note the recipient must have a valid AU mobile number to redeem their gift card digitally.
A digital gift card cannot be printed as a voucher or transferred.
This gift card has a minimum 3-year expiry date and can be redeemed at NSW Parliament and other participating restaurants in Australia.
