Enjoy a Chef’s selection of sweet and savoury creations, thoughtfully crafted using native Australian ingredients, paired with premium coffee and native Australian teas by Indigiearth.

  • Macadamia Nut
    Native to eastern Australia, macadamias were a valued bush food rich in protein and healthy fats.
  • Wattle Seed
    An important staple ingredient traditionally ground into flour and used in damper-style breads.
  • Strawberry Gum
    A native eucalyptus with a distinctive berry flavour, used traditionally for both flavour and medicinal purposes.
  • Lemon Myrtle
    A native plant known for its strong citrus aroma, widely used in both food and traditional remedies.
  • Davidson Plum
    A tart rainforest fruit rich in vitamins and antioxidants, commonly used in jams and chutneys.

  • Kangaroo
    A significant traditional protein source, sustainably hunted and widely used across Aboriginal nations.

    Traditionally consumed in northern Australia, often cooked over coals.
  • Green Ants
    A native ingredient traditionally consumed for their distinctive citrus flavour and valued for both culinary and medicinal uses.
  • Bush Tomato
    A native ingredient prized for its rich, earthy flavour.
  • Pepperberry (Mountain Pepper)
    A native spice known for its distinctive peppery flavour and traditional medicinal uses.

About Naidoc Week

Naidoc Week celebrates and recognises the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth.

Special dietaries

Due to the intricate and carefully curated nature of our High Tea offering, we are only able to accommodate Vegetarian (V) and gluten free (GF) dietary requirements.

We are unable to offer Dairy Free or other specialised dietary alternatives for a High Tea experience, however a bespoke lunch menu can be arranged as an alternative from the a la carte menu.

We encourage you to review the menu ahead of your visit to ensure it meets your dietary needs.  For any other allergies or dietary needs, we recommend ordering from our à la carte lunch menu.

We do make every effort to prevent cross contamination but are unable to guarantee that food items on our menu are free from any specific allergens and may contain traces of allergens.

Children

Children are welcome at Strangers’ Restaurant, if you require a high chair, please advise at the time of booking. Children under 12 can either share a meal or order from the Children’s Menu which is available from your waiter on the day, to view the current menu, please click here.
