Supporting Oz Harvest

1 December 2020.

There has been less to celebrate about this year – but our kitchen preparing over 100,000 meals for the community’s most vulnerable during the pandemic is an achievement worth recognising!

Earlier this year Parliament partnered with OzHarvest to prepare and distribute individually packaged and labelled meals to those in need.

The project has been a meaningful contribution for our workforce whilst the building was closed and continues to provide a valuable connection from our kitchen to the NSW community.

Pictured is our Executive Chef Vanessa Harcourt celebrating her team’s achievement.

Supporting Regional & Rural NSW

4 August 2020.

Parliamentary Catering continues to support local suppliers by increasing its online gift shop range to include a larger selection of locally grown and made gourmet items. These items are from local artists and farmers who have been severely impacted by the events of 2020 including bush fires, floods and the current pandemic.

Good Food for a Good Cause

13 April 2020

Parliamentary Catering continues to work closely with existing partners to provide meals for those in need.

During this unprecedented and challenging time, the Parliamentary Catering Services at NSW Parliament launched a community initiative with longstanding partners Oz Harvest to prepare home-style meals for some of the State’s most vulnerable people. The very talented culinary team at NSW Parliament embraced the opportunity to support the community by providing up to 1000 meals a day. These meals are delivered by Oz Harvest to a number of well-deserved charity groups across the state.
