This historic venue is full of hidden surprises, from beautiful garden views of the Domain, to heritage rooms dating back to 1816 and contemporary event spaces that can host up to 800 people. Learn more about holding functions and events at Parliament.
The elegant Strangers’ Restaurant overlooks the beautiful Domain and provides a rare opportunity to experience fine dining at Parliament. The restaurant is open on Monday to Friday from 12 pm to 3 pm on days when the Parliament is not sitting. A delicious high tea is held every Friday in the Strangers’ Restaurant between 12 pm to 3pm. Booking are essential.
Public Café and Gift Shop
Enjoy a coffee or lunch at the Parliament’s Public Café as part of your visit. You can also take home a souvenir of your experience from the Parliament’s Gift Shop. The Public Café and Gift Shop are open on Monday to Friday from 9.30 am to 4 pm.
Take a walk through time, explore the Parliament and witness where history is made. Free tours are depart at 1.30 pm on Mondays and Fridays, and are subject to availability and size limitations. Explore the magnificent art collection located within the Parliament’s Fountain Court, open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.
