Welcome to our House

Dining at NSW Parliament has historically been the privilege of members of Parliament and staff. Today, our doors are open to all to dine in the heart of the legislature for the state of New South Wales.

The Strangers’ Restaurant is open for lunch Monday to Friday on non-sitting days and offers a seasonal menu, focused on the rich array of NSW produce we are fortunate enough to have at our fingertips. Our very special high tea is served each Friday. The Public Café is a great spot to stop for a bite or a coffee while you’re in the city.

We offer eight historic and contemporary spaces for function hire. We can host a range of events including board meetings, seminars, product launches, lunch, dinner, cocktail events, awards nights and more. Our team includes experienced function coordinators, passionate baristas, talented chefs and fantastic wait staff.

Join a free guided tour of the Parliament as part of your visit. Explore the parliamentary Chambers and heritage rooms, and learn about Australia’s first and oldest parliament. Guided tours run each Monday and Friday at 1.30 pm. Please visit www.parliament.nsw.gov.au for more information.

Don’t forget to take a piece of Parliament home with you. Our gift shop is stocked with great gifts and mementoes of your visit to the Parliament of NSW.

We hope to welcome you to our House soon.
